About the Attorney
Prior to starting a solo law practice, I served as General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Human Services and Deputy Director of the Cook County Department of Human Rights and Ethics. I have also applied my legal expertise to working as a community development professional with government and non-profit organizations in the Chicago and in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas.

- De Paul University College of Law – Juris Doctor. Minority Merit Scholar and Intern to the Federal District Court of Illinois.
- George Washington University – Certificate in Construction Law.
- University of Illinois at Chicago – Master of Public Health.
- Howard University – Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Dean’s List.
Fun Facts
I’m an avid fan of classical ballet, jazz and modern dance. On weeknights, you might catch me doing yoga or training for a Triathlon (Swim, Bike, Run)! I’m also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and I serve on the Board of Directors of the Child Care Centers of Trinity United Church of Christ (where I’ve been a member for over 30 years).
